Energy Engineer

Job Summary:

• The Energy Engineer will play a crucial role in reducing the energy use and develop sustainability initiatives within our facilities, infrastructure and operations in line with strategy for sustainability, energy and carbon emission reductions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy management, engineering principles, and a passion for implementing energy-efficient technologies.

Technical Competencies:

• Collect and analyze energy consumption data for all Drydocks facilities in the yard and accommodation to develop an energy baseline and benchmarking.
• Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify opportunities for energy savings and efficiency improvements.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize energy consumption across our facilities.
• Analyze energy performance data and recommend solutions to enhance energy efficiency.
• Support the development and execution of sustainability programs and initiatives.
• Monitor and report on sustainability metrics and performance indicators.
• Provide technical guidance on energy-efficient equipment and systems.
• Working knowledge on applicable ERP system on asset management (preferably IFS).
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in energy technology and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of energy management systems, energy-efficient technologies, and sustainability practices.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in energy engineering or a similar role, preferably within the maritime or industrial sectors.
