Head of Arabic Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Teaching, Learning & Curriculum
- Deliver high-quality Arabic lessons in line with MOE and ADEK curriculum standards.
- Plan and prepare engaging lessons that cater to diverse student needs and abilities.
- Monitor student progress and use assessment data to inform teaching and improve outcomes.
- Implement school policies and line manager instructions effectively in teaching, learning, and student behaviour.
- Participate in and support competitions, projects, and enrichment activities to enhance student engagement and achievement.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure full compliance with Ministry of Education and ADEK policies in classroom practice.
- Contribute to the department’s preparation for external inspections and internal reviews.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and reporting in line with school requirements.
National Identity & Cultural Engagement
- Promote and integrate UAE national identity, values, and heritage into Arabic lessons.
- Participate in national celebrations and events (e.g., UAE National Day, Flag Day, Commemoration Day).
- Encourage cultural awareness and appreciation among students and parents.
Collaboration & Professional Development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Arabic Department to share best practices and resources.
- Engage in professional development opportunities and contribute to department meetings and training sessions.
- Support new or developing teachers through mentoring and collaboration as needed.
Parent & Student Engagement
- Establish effective communication with parents to keep them informed of student progress.
- Address parent and student queries promptly and professionally.
- Build positive home-school partnerships to support student progress and wellbeing.
Departmental Contribution
- Contribute to department meetings and initiatives aligned with whole-school goals.
- Support departmental data collection, assessment records, and reporting systems as required.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives (e.g., competitions, clubs, community projects).
Skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language / Education (Master’s preferred).
- Teaching qualification recognized by MOE/ADEK.
- Minimum 2-3 years teaching experience in Arabic, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with ADEK inspections, MOE compliance, and departmental leadership.
