ROLE SUMMARY:

The Paralegal will support the Legal Operations Manager in performing administrative, paralegal, and legal operations tasks. He or she will be responsible for providing comprehensive assistance to the legal team and will help ensure the smoother operation and efficiency of the legal department.

 

ROLE PROFILE:

  • Perform an array of administrative duties related to the legal department, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling calls and correspondence.
  • Support in the execution of the legal team training agenda.
  • Create knowledge resources and libraries to catalogue for practices, templates, forms, and re-usable documents that can be used across the legal department.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date files, records, and data systems. Ensure proper indexing and secure storage of documents for easy retrieval when needed.
  • Draft correspondence; prepare and execute simple legal documents; ensure timely filing of regular reports and required submissions.
  • Support the Legal Operations Manager in the development and implementation of office, legal and practice management initiatives.
  • Help to prepare, track, and report budgets and financials; forecast expenses.
  • Process external / vendor billing and payments and assist with vendor coordination.
  • Support the Legal Operations Manager with new technology implementations.
  • Project manage cross-department adoption, coordination, and evaluation of legal operations projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A degree in a discipline that enables the support of business and/or legal work.
  • Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, with a strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology.
  • Proficiency in MS office basics, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
  • Advanced [MS Outlook] Skills, including an ability to manage multiple Calendars across different time zones, coordinate email messages/correspondence, and contact lists.
  • Highly organized, ability to multitask and keep projects on track.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal in English and preferably in Arabic.
