Range Services Technician Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Test Range Setup and Maintenance:
• Prepare test sites by setting up equipment, barriers, targets, and other necessary materials.
• Work with Engineering Services to set up and support the deployment of testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable performance.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of test range facilities and equipment.
Services Infrastructure:
• Working with the Operations team, RCO’s and SME’s, ensure that client booked temporary infrastructure is in place
• Provide technical support for ad-hoc builds and targetry – including any mechanical/electrical work necessary
• Ensure clients are supported with Hygiene units and associated fresh water, AC and power
Test Operations:
• Operate a variety of testing equipment and systems as required for specific tests.
• Assist in conducting tests, including vehicle, ballistic, environmental, or other specialized tests.
• Record commercial data and observations during tests, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure all test set up activity comply with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment.
Data Management and Reporting:
• Ensure the relevant documentation is completed for the deployment of targets, facilities and field support services as booked by clients
• Maintain detailed logs and records of all test activities and services delivered
• Maintain a log of all support equipment, its condition and arrange for any upkeep or upgrade as required
• Assist in preparing technical reports and summaries for review by engineers and management.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with engineers, clients, and other technical staff to plan and execute support services for tests.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding test plans, progress, and issues.
• Participate in project meetings and provide input based on test range operations.
Equipment and Inventory Management:
• Manage inventory of test range equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinate the procurement and replacement of equipment and materials as needed.
• Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor usage and maintain adequate stock levels.
Note: The responsibilities will include the above but not limited to it.
Skills and Capabilities:
Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Mechanical and Electrical capability – field repair and maintenance
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a testing environment
• Physically fit due to environmental challenges
• Driving license
• Able to drive multiple types of vehicles
