Key Accountabilities
While this is not a current vacancy, the following responsibilities represent the type of work anticipated for this role:
Entry Point Security Guard Duties:
- Verify identification, track personnel compliance, and monitor access points.
- Ensure visitor induction requirements are met and manage visitor passes.
- Act as a deterrent to unauthorized activities and report suspicious behavior.
Security Patrol Guard Duties:
- Conduct periodic patrols to detect signs of intrusion or security breaches.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Check perimeter fencing and secure buildings per client protocols.
- Respect and support client-specific culture, values, and traditions.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Australian Baseline security clearance or higher issued by AGSVA, or eligibility for sponsorship.
- Fluent English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Valid Certificate II in Security Operations and applicable security license from an Australian State/Territory.
- Ability to follow instructions, respond effectively in emergencies, and manage multiple tasks.
Security License Functions:
- Crowd Controller
- Security Officer (Unarmed)
- Security Officer (Monitoring), if listed on the license.
