About the job
Purpose of the Job:
- To ensure that PDI is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the principal and with our quality procedures.
- To contribute by ensuring that the delivery deadlines provided to the customers are complied with.
Job Accountabilities:
Plan the vehicles to be PDI’d, with the coordination of sales team.
Prepare and distributes the job card to the mechanic.
Coordinate with sales staff for arranging new vehicle preparation.
Maintain new vehicles record.
Upon receipt of vehicles, opens job card, takes vehicle inside with the help of driver.
Ensure that final inspection and road test of new vehicle is performed.
Visit vehicle stock yard and arranges checks on new vehicles as recommended by principal.
In case of any technical problem during new vehicle preparation, notifies technical advisor for assistance request/CRI/reports to supervisor.
Allocate the job to dedicated technician/serviceman for preparation of new vehicle.
Assist service advisors in body repairing estimates.
Communicate delay (if any) to the sales coordinator via the service manager, using the delay form.
Arrange the vehicle to be washed and de-waxed.
Attend internal customer of group companies, bringing their vehicles for maintain.
Notify supervisor of any anomalies during PDI process.
Complete the delivery checklist along with the driver.
Perform all the activities in compliance with the Company’s QHSEMS and as per the assigned specific responsibilities.
Carries out any additional tasks assigned (in line with qualifications and ability) by the line Manager.
Qualifications, Education, Experience & Knowledge:
Qualifications & Education
Diploma in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum 3years of experience in a similar role within the heavy vehicles and equipment.
Knowledge & Skills
Fluent in English; Arabic an advantage.
Computer literate.
Driving license.
