Analyst – Clearing and Risk

Role Summary:

Responsible for undertaking daily operational tasks to ensure smooth running of all clearing and settlement functions, as well as to ensure that all relevant activities are undertaken in accordance with relevant Rules, policies and procedures. Respond to member queries relating to the settlement and clearing of the markets and associated risk management activities. Assist with projects, and liaise with other internal departments as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake tasks defined in daily process schedule from pre-open through to the end of clearing, to include: system checks, margin/collateral calls, bank transfers, clearing processing, processing physical deliveries compiling management information as required, and maintenance of all relevant static data.
  • Assist in implementation of risk policies and procedures, carry out daily risk operations and reporting.
  • Assist in monitoring DCCC market risk, Portfolio Risk), DCCC Counterparty Credit Risk, Collateral Management, settlement failure risk, DCCC liquidity risk, Wrong way risk, Collateral investment risk, Concentration risk and pro-cyclicality issues.
  • Respond to member queries in a timely and professional manner, and in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Escalate issues to management.
  • Good working knowledge of Rules and relevant Notices to ensure accurate information provided to Members and other third-parties.
  • Produce management information as required to a high standard of accuracy.
  • The ability to produce one-off reports highlighting particular trading patterns as required.
  • Assist with those projects that directly impact upon Clearing & Risk including, but not limited to, drafting business requirements, test cases, undertake internal testing and participate in external testing as appropriate.
Qualifications:

Analyst – Trading and Surveillance

Role Summary:

Responsible for undertaking daily operational tasks to ensure smooth running of the trading environment. Also, to ensure that all relevant surveillance activities are undertaken in accordance with relevant By-Laws, policies and procedures. Respond to member queries relating to the operation of the market and the products that are made available for trading. Assist with projects and liaise with other internal departments as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake tasks defined in daily process schedule from pre-open through to post-close, to include: pre-open system checks, monitoring order and trade activity, maintenance of price bands, determining daily settlement prices, processing wholesale trades (e.g. block trades), compiling management information as required, and maintenance of trading and product calendar
  • To have an understanding of the financial sector and market infrastructure, specifically relating to the functioning of the (commodity) derivatives
  • Proactively undertake high-quality research on risks arising and policy initiatives to the DGCX’s markets regime concerning the future development of international regulatory standards and best practice across derivatives market monitoring
  • Investigate alerts generated by the trading surveillance system (SMARTS) to ensure all potential breaches of By-Laws are investigated in accordance with relevant procedures
  • Escalate issues to management and refer open investigations to Compliance as required
  • Use knowledge of By-Laws to ensure that surveillance of the market is undertaken effectively through the identification of trends indicating possible abuse
  • Scan environment and daily news for important trends, happenings, updates and changes affecting the business and trading behaviour
  • Respond to member queries in a timely and professional manner, and in accordance with relevant procedures
  • Escalate issues to management.
  • Good working knowledge of By-Laws and relevant Notices to ensure accurate information provided to Members and other third parties

Global Head of Sales

Role Summary:

The Global Head of Sales will be responsible for developing a business strategy for sales growth and managing the entire sales lifecycle from lead generation to closure and payment. The individual will have responsibility for leading, mentoring, managing and reviewing the outbound sales team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead outbound sales team to qualify and grow number of DGCX multinational member companies
  • Set activity and revenue targets for members of the sales team
  • Work with sales team to develop regional business plans, including comprehensive competitive analysis to support revenue objectives
  • Manage sales pipeline and lifecycle for the respective regions
  • Provide monthly reporting on sales performance against budget
  • Contribute to implementation and ongoing development of Salesforce CRM (when available) to prioritise actions and track status of leads and renewals
  • Manage the entire value chain, suggest and implement any necessary improvements to the service level and/or product offering
  • Work closely with Product Development to design and deliver new contracts to the market.
  • Keep regular and clear communication lines with direct reports as well as other managers across the DGCX Group
  • Produce regular reports covering effectiveness of sales initiatives in order to continuously improve productivity of marketing and sales efforts
  • Contribute to the design of marketing campaigns, including specific programmes aimed at achieving the sales targets (such sector landing pages, sales kits, etc.)
  • Identify and maintain list of industry events and conferences which are relevant to DGCX
  • Ensure a business evaluation and justification is submitted prior to sponsoring and/or attending industry events
  • Cooperate with private and government entities as well as key support entities to promote and raise awareness of DGCX’s product offerings

Qualifications:
