1. Role Objective

Supervises and control the activities of Operators and maintenance of water distribution network and pumping stations of the assigned unit/location. Ensure timely completion of operations and maintenance, both planned and emergency.

Assigns the required crew and provide the suitable tools to monitor network.

Arranges related reports and address it to HOU Operations.

Setting & resetting the pressure control valves as instructed by HOU Operations.

2. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Growth & Sustainability related :

· Execute all assigned tasks and to ensure that these are executed efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner

· Report on the overall performance and work progress of tasks assigned

Customer related:

· Execute all customer facing transactions in line with ADDC customer strategy resulting in higher satisfaction and timely delivery of services

· Address customer needs, problems and requests in a timely manner

· Ensure the delivery of a world-class customer experience

· Support the customer focused culture minimizing disruption to impacted customers ensuring customers are kept informed

Operational Excellence related:

• Supervises and directs the activities of assigned Operators, working on shifts, to ensure smooth functioning and error-free work flow. Performs supervisory functions at the level established by management.

• Carries out daily routine checking of storage tank level, supply pressure and other details of water supply to all locations, to ensure sufficient availability of water for the next day.

• Maintains an inventory of spare parts and replaceable parts to ensure constant availability in case of emergency. Inspects valves of water network and specially fire hydrants, both types to maintain operational conditions, in case of emergency.

• Maintains records of as built drawings and alterations to house connections and passes information to drawing office. Maintains personal files for all zones/locations for up-to-date correspondence with latest as built drawings.

• Coordinates for the assignment of the required crew, provides the calibrated pressure gauge, give necessary instructions to the respective crew, arrange daily reports and forwards it to Section Manager. Maintaining the pressure and flow control valve settings & Reports to the Section Manager.

• Coordinates for the assignment of the required crew (Technicians, pipe fitters & helpers), checks valve condition, takes day to day responsibility of network operations and maintenance.

• a) Integrate appropriate OSH management into processes and culture. Ensure that staff has the knowledge to meet their responsibilities and that OSH risks are identified and controlled

• b) OSH roles and responsibilities include:

• Provide OSH information, training and supervision

• Assist with the preparation of risk assessments

• Ensure application of appropriate risk control measures; and

• Reporting of OSH hazards and incidents

Performance Driven Organization related:

· Acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate training programs.

In addition to the above, the incumbent shall also perform all other duties assigned by line manager.

. Qualifications & Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)

Preferred Experience:

Minimum of 2 years.
