Job Description

The Cashier is responsible for managing cash collection, processing customer payments, and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with corporate finance procedures. This role includes reporting financial risks, updating systems with customer settlements, managing petty cash, and preparing daily cash reports to ensure accurate and secure handling of financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain custody of cash collected from business unit sales, ensuring compliance with finance procedures.
  • Report observed risks in the location or outlet to the appropriate authorities.
  • Perform system-based customer settlements with proper documentation.
  • Receive payments (cash, cheque, credit card) and issue receipts per corporate policies.
  • Handover collected cash and cheques to the corporate finance cash collector.
  • Manage petty cash to ensure accurate balance and proper documentation in line with group policy.
  • Generate customer account receipts with full supporting documents.
  • Execute special accounting tasks as directed by senior accountants.
  • Prepare detailed daily cash reports including all transaction records and cash on hand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, high school, or diploma in Finance; Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Proficiency in reading and writing Arabic and English
