1. Role Objective

Monitor the 33kV, 22kV, and 11kV Distribution Networks of Abu Dhabi Emirate, except the distribution network under AADC, to ensure safety rules are applied during all activities in the network.

2. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Growth & Sustainability related :

• Execute all assigned tasks and to ensure that these are executed efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner

• Report on the overall performance and work progress of tasks assigned

Customer related:

• Execute all customer facing transactions in line with ADDC customer strategy resulting in higher satisfaction and timely delivery of services

• Address customer needs, problems and requests in a timely manner

• Ensure the delivery of a world-class customer experience

• Support the customer focused culture minimizing disruption to impacted customers ensuring customers are kept informed

Operational Excellence related:

Assists the operations engineer in the isolation of fault and restoration of supply.
Updates and maintains database of the distribution network.
Prepares Incident Reports and report the same to Reporting Section.
Reports all network modifications to Operations Planning Section.
Reports all over-loaded power transformers and/or feeders to Protection Section.
Comply with reasonable OSH instructions and safe working procedures
Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems
Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
Not willfully or recklessly endanger anyone’s health and safety
Assist with preparation of risk assessments; and
Report OSH hazards, incidents, and issues
Performance Driven Organization related:

• Acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate training programs

In addition to the above, the incumbent shall also perform all other duties assigned by line manager.

3.Technical:

Strong background in electrical and instrumentation engineering.
Strong background in PLC testing, commissioning and programming including siemens, ABB and Schneider PLC programming.
Strong background in signals and signal transfer.
Strong background in data transfer; mud-bus, profi-bus and can-bus.
Strong background in instruments calibration, repairing, testing and trouble-shooting.
Strong background in DGS control systems including RGMS, ATS and AMF for both LV and HV.
Strong background for desalination plants instrumentations.
Strong background in SWRO desalination plant SCADA.
Electricity Network Operations

Scheduling & Dispatching
Water Network Operations

4. Qualifications & Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

· Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical).

Preferred Experience:

· Minimum of 3 years.
