Embryologist

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducts semen examination and preparation forIntrauterine Insemination (IUI), Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), and Conventional In-vitro Fertilization (CIVF).
• Performs Seminal fluid analysis.
• Processes samples collected from Testicular Sperm Extraction (TESE), Percutaneous Epididymal SpermAspiration (PESA) andMicroscopic Testicular Sperm Extraction (Micro-TESE).
• Carries out and collects oocytes from the follicular fluid.
• Assesses the fertilization process and the division of embryos.
• Conducts embryo preparation before the embryo transfer.
• Conducts the Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI).
• Performs cryopreservation of human semen and testicular tissues.
• Conducts embryo vitrification and thawing procedures.
• Ensures that established quality assurance regulations and safety precautions are adhered to and prescribed protective clothing always worn.
• Carries out periodic daily preventive/corrective maintenance on instruments and equipment.

 REQUIREMENTS : 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Health Science

or

• Bachelor’s degree inapplied science/Biology/Zoology withemphasis on Human Embryology
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an Embryologist.
• Current license topractice in country of origin andwith the Dubai Health Authority (DHA)
• Knowledge of Trophectoderm Biopsy and Tubing preferred.
• Skills in Oocyte Freezing.
• Skills in Embryoscope preferred.
