Female PE Teacher Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the GEMS Core Values of innovation, excellence, lifelong learning, and global citizenship in all aspects of teaching and student interactions.
- Deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum standards, adapting to diverse learning styles and individual student needs, including ESL and gifted students.
- Maintain accurate records of planning, assessments, and attendance, ensuring policies and codes of conduct are consistently followed.
- Use media and technology effectively in the classroom to enhance learning experiences.
- Foster student progress and well-being through academic guidance, behavior management, and promoting cultural awareness.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching resources and contribute to the school’s co-curricular and extra-curricular programs.
- Communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed of student progress, upholding confidentiality where required.
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, and extra duties as needed, demonstrating commitment beyond the standard workday.
- Participate in appraisal and Performance Management procedures and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Skills
Successful candidates will need to:
- Hold a BEd or Bachelors degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent in relevant specialism PE.
- Have proven experience of teaching PE, ideally within an IB or American Curriculum School, however this is not mandatory.
- Have experience teaching at Secondary/High School level
- Have the ability to share exemplary teaching practices.
- A creative and enthusiastic approach, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with colleagues, students and parents.
- Have a proven track record of providing outstanding learning & teaching.
- Availability from August 2025
