Job Summary:

• Responsible for Overhauling and maintenance of electrical power tools, PAT testing of electrical equipment and basic electrical assistance in GOS as needed. Responsible for normal maintenance of other electrical equipment in GOS in order to meet the client/yard requirements in on board vessels and workshops.

Technical Competencies:

• Maintenance and checking of power tools so that they are in working condition .
• Advice status of defective items and spares/ replacement needed.
• Attend offshore work as needed and advised.
• Check GOS electrical fittings along with safety to ensure safe operations.
• Maintain good working relationship with workers, appointed foreman, supervisors and management.
• Work within allocated timescale to meet department targets.
• Attend any training for any activity required by the department.
• Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.
• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
• Basic electrical understanding related to rotating equipment and controls .
• Select and use appropriate tools, equipment, materials and machines.

Education:

• High School.
• I.T.I., Industrial/vocational training.

Experience:

• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Shipyard or Oil & Gas experience.
