About the job
Key Accountabilities
· To work in coordination with Commissioning Engineers and define system /sub system brake of the project and sent boundaries.
• To assist Commissioning Engineers and planners to develop pre-commissioning and commissioning planning, generation of commissioning programs and follow up of all jobs related to Mechanical Completion.
• Co-ordinate with Engineering, Owner’s Representative, trades supervisory staff as well as internally in the department for mechanical completion and preservation activities.
• To develop mechanical completion philosophy, check sheets, governance procedures, preservation check sheets.
• To prepare database for the entire tags for each discipline and manage the database in the project completion software.
• To maintain and manage project completion software.
• To issue, update the mechanical completion check sheets, preservation check sheets & punch lists in the system, track them for completion and report generation.
• To do inspection and verification of installations Onboard and make punch lists if any.
• To make the systemisation and boundary mark up for the subsystems for the mechanical completion packages.
• Handle a team of technicians & provide required information to his team viz. check sheets, drawings, schedules etc.
• To prepare mechanical completion packages.
• Documentation of complete mechanical completion dossiers which includes (mechanical completion check sheets, Preservation records commissioning procedures, punch lists, certificates and P& ID drawings).
• Ensure all safety requirements are met – raise Occurrence reports & Safety infringement forms in case of non-compliances. Stop processes if they do not meet specified requirements and get necessary approvals for any rework.
• Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Follow and comply to information Security Rules and data security measures in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties.
• To create reports for the mechanical completion, Commissioning, Preservation and Warranty activities and report to management.
• To coordinate and manage warranty activities.
Qualification/Experiences & Skills
Education and knowledge in Mechanical or Marine Engineering is essential.
Degree or Diploma in, Mechanical or Marine Engineering
• Good project management and contract administrative skills.
• Knowledge and experience in Ship yard or a similar facility with MC activities works for conversion and new buildings.
• Good knowledge and experience in handling site completion inspections, line walks and other process inspections.
• Good knowledge and experience in different process involved in construction activities and related quality requirements.
• Sound knowledge in MC activities, Certification requirements and regulatory requirements of Marine and Offshore, process and Drilling equipment.
• Familiar with Norsok standards, class rules and ship building standards.
• Strong background with resolution of technical issues during projects planning and execution phases.
• Conversant with permit to work system and lock out tag out system.
• Experience in Mechanical Completion, Commissioning and Preservation procedures.
• Knowledge and experience in project completion software such as WinPCS, PIMS, Procosys etc.
· Good knowledge in Microsoft office especially in Excel.
Competent and conversant with various project completion software’s.
5-10 years relevant experience in Mechanical completion field including at least 2 years working experience in Ship yard with conversion and new building projects.
