About the job

Purpose of the Job:

To promote, market, and sell agricultural products to corporate and retail customers, while maximizing sales by acquiring new orders and expanding the business within the division. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with clients and ensuring the achievement of sales targets.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Sales & Promotion: Promote, market, and sell agricultural products and services, aiming to close deals effectively.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Responsible for achieving set sales targets within the designated territory.
  • Customer Information: Provide detailed and accurate information regarding products, services, and promotional offers to customers.
  • Market Awareness: Understand key market trends in the agricultural industry and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Client Interaction: Confer with customers regarding the installation, set-up, or layout of agricultural equipment and machinery.
  • Lead Generation: Implement effective strategies to reach out to new potential clients and increase sales while following up on previous sales calls.
  • Quotation & Invoicing: Prepare accurate quotations for clients and submit invoices to the accounts department.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare and submit daily call reports to the Sales Manager, tracking progress, leads, and client interactions.
  • Product Delivery Coordination: Ensure proper coordination for timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Account Maintenance: Maintain customer accounts, including managing contracts, logistics, and accounts receivable (A/R).
  • Follow-Up on Issues: Follow up on product shortages or issues and escalate concerns to the Sales Manager for resolution.
  • Payment Collection: Collect post-dated checks (PDC), LPOs, cash from customers, and issue manual receipts as required.
  • Territory Coverage: Ensure effective coverage and sales activity within the assigned sales territory.
  • Quality Assurance: Follow quality assurance procedures as per company guidelines.

Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or related field.
  • Degree or Diploma in any stream (preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum 2–5 years of sales experience in the agricultural materials sector.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing client relationships within the agricultural industry.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to market trends and customer needs in the agricultural industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software for reporting and data management.
  • UAE Driving License is required for field visits and customer meetings.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
