Roles and Responsibility
• To work with the internal customer to baseline the Etihad Rail Operating Companies Logistics Operation: validate and check inventory; movement and location of inventory; formalise control, issue and returns processes; optimize ergonomic and effective storage solutions.
• Monitor the availability of materials and equipment.
• Update the database adopted by the Operations JV.
• Provide periodic reports to the Logistics Senior Manager, as requested. (Inventory management information; movement of stock reports; error rates; quality occurrence reports (QOR complaints) etc).
• Ensure effective receipt and despatch of requested material to the internal customer as per process, procedure and requested delivery date (RDD).
• To be trained and competent to operate any mechanical handling equipment (MHE) in the execution of receipt and despatch functions.
• Support cross-site logistics functions, as detailed by the senior store man. (External and internal storage areas).
• To coordinate the safe delivery and receipt of petroleum, liquids and oils (POL).
• To administer and maintain an accurate Material Management system that meets company audit and compliance regulations.
• To administer and maintain an accurate documentation system that meets audit and compliance regulations.
• To be a subject matter expert on SAP (Material Management) interrogating, inputting and amending data to maintain an accurate inventory picture.
• To carry out basic risk assessments of storerooms, movement, and all other Logistics activities.
• To ensure that all work carried out is in accordance with Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments.
• Ensure that all Hazardous material held has a Risk Assessment and COSH Assessment for that material.
• To be the Point of Contact (POC) for all items held under their responsibility (stock availability, receipt, movement and issue of material).
• To carry out routine cycle stock taking as per the instructions and plan set out by the Senior Logistics Manager.
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
Academic Qualifications:
• A good level of basic education
Professional Qualifications:
• Knowledge of SAP
Experience:
• Experience of working in a warehouse and storage facility
• Experience of working with maintenance/engineer personnel providing specialist storemanship advice to deliver best practice
• Experience of handling, controlling and accounting for items of inventory
• Experience of communicating with and coordinating customer requirements.

• Experienced with working in Joint Venture or similar environments
• Capable of training/operating mechanical operating equipment
