Degree in a relevant Engineering subject. (B.Sc./B.Eng./MSc)
Minimum 6 – 10 years upstream Oil & Gas, Refineries, and Petrochemical experience
Experience in design, and specification of oil & gas, refinery, and petrochemical facilities. The experience should include handling independently stress analysis/ Material/Layout for projects. Field experience in construction, commissioning, or maintenance is preferred
Good spoken/written English PC literate. Conversant with relevant International standards. Preferred knowledge of Shell Group (DEP’s) and PDO (ERD’s).
General Accountabilities:
To provide specialist discipline engineering expertise to all project design phases

Purpose of the Job:
To carry out front-end design and detailed engineering process for projects in support of the development of new and existing oil and gas facilities and refineries.
Qualification & Experience:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering (B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Eng.) and/or membership of internationally accepted applicable professional Institute
- A minimum 10 years upstream Oil & Gas, Refineries and Petrochemical experience including a minimum 3 years process engineering experience with engineering consultancies is required
- Working experience in use of process software like HYSYS, PROII, Pipesim, Flarenet etc.
Principal Accountabilities:
- To carry-out process simulations and optimization studies for selected projects and prepare Process Flow Schemes with heat and mass balances

Qualification & Experience:
- University Graduate in relevant Engineering (B.Sc. /M.Sc. /B.Eng.) and/or membership of internationally accepted applicable professional Institute
- For an Senior Engineer, a minimum 12+ years in design, and specification of oil & gas, refinery and petrochemical facilities. Field experience in construction, commissioning, or maintenance will be an added advantage
- Good spoken/written English PC literate
- Conversant with engineering softwares, relevant International codes & standards including NFPA’s, Shell (DEP’s) and PDO (SP’s) design and construction standards
- Experience in various stages of Process/Technical Safety Engineering work in Concept, FEED and Detailed Engineering stages.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Provide guidance on the appropriate risk mitigation measures required for Process Safety issues
- Responsible for safety engineering systems including fire / explosion protection systems, emergency facilities, and life saving equipment
- Disseminate knowledge and/or participation of industry/group led research or developments in the management of Process Safety hazards
- Participate in Reviews and Audits in order to facilitate lateral learning and ensure gaps in the systems are addressed
