Responsibilities
• Support the relevant department’s operations in day-to-day reviews of internal/external department referrals, review the diagnosis and drop the CPT codes of the referred treatment area within 24 hours.
• Ensures that referrals and pre-authorizations are actioned accurately and in a timely manner according to department standards.
• Monitors and orders departmental consumables, as needed.
• Liaises with the Line Manager to identify and update consumable requirements for clinical and non-clinical use.
• Coordinates with the RCM team for relevant departmental report submissions within a timely manner (ideally within 24 hours).
• Participates in the monthly department audits and shares the findings with the relevant department manager.
• Ensures action plans are implemented and monitored.
• Submits and coordinates with the procurement department to verify receipts of supplies upon the department manager’s approval.
• Monitors and ensures the availability of educational material and leaflets within the department areas.
• Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Assists to coordinate and ensure smooth flow of daily operations.
• Develops educational materials in collaboration with the line manager and relevant caregivers.
• Provides support and assistance to the clinical team as required.
• Attends and participates in regular departmental activities and meetings.
• Demonstrates cooperative and harmonious working relationships.
• Participates as a valued team member promoting and contributing to a supportive team environment.
Qualifications
Required:
• Vocational / Technical education or High School Certificate or Diploma in a relevant field
• Three (3) years of similar experience
• Strong organization skills and an understanding of medical terminology
• Ability to communicate and relay messages to patients in a culturally sensitive manner
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Fluency in written and spoken English
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic.
