Team Leader – Highways (Design Manager) to lead our design team and drive the success of our highway projects.

Job Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and highly skilled Team Leader, Highways / Design Manager with a minimum of 17 years of experience in highway design and management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality highway design projects, leading teams and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Lead and manage a team of highway design professionals to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Design Management: Oversee all aspects of highway design projects, from conceptualization to completion, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Client Interaction: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Expertise: Apply your extensive knowledge of highway design principles, standards, and regulations to provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team.

Resource Management: Effectively allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to ensure project goals are achieved efficiently.

Budget Control: Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to maximize project profitability.

Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and compliance of design work.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with highway design projects, taking proactive steps to avoid delays and cost overruns.

Reporting: Prepare and present regular project progress reports to senior management and clients. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of highway design processes.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 17 years of experience in highway design, with a strong emphasis on leadership roles.
• Proven experience in successfully managing and delivering complex highway design projects.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
