Aras System Administrator Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Key Responsibilities :
• Supporting IT department with Installing, maintaining and upgrading of Aras servers
• Aras system administrator
• Collaborating with the IT department to ensure uninterrupted connectivity to Aras
• Assisting with configuration and customisation of Aras according to company requirements
• Interfacing with Aras Support where and when required
• Collaborating with department managers to understand engineering, production, quality, etc. processes, then proposing implementation solutions in Aras to aid these processes
• Investigating, diagnosing, and solving issues in Aras with regard to permissions, life-cycles, workflows, etc.
• Documentation of Aras configuration and other customisations implemented
• Collaborating with custodians of CAD connectors on fixing bugs, further required customisations
• Documentation on CAD connectors customised according to company requirements
• Supporting IT department with network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems
• Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
• Logging and processing Aras support calls
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity while working with company information
• Apply sound ethical principles.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or a relevant IT-related tertiary qualification.
• 5+ years’ experience with Aras Innovator in a system administration role
• Proficient in C# and JavaScript
• Experience in writing server and client-side scripts in Aras
• Proficient in HTML and CSS.
• Experience in generating customised reports in Aras
• Experience in Aras REST API
• Exposure to CAD software (SolidWorks, Catia and/or Altium)
• Experience with Aras CAD connectors
• Experience in network architecture
• Expert knowledge on installing, maintaining and upgrading of Aras systems
• Expert knowledge on installing and maintaining SQL databases
• In-depth knowledge of information systems hardware and software.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills for quickly uncovering and fixing network flaws.
• Experience in infrastructure documentation and event reporting capabilities.
• Customer service ethos.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
