IT System Architect

Key Accountabilities:

• Validate, approve and contribute to development and maintenance of high-level and low-level design documents, scope of work, RFPs holding responsibility for compliance with performance, scalability and reliability requirements.
• Evaluating internal functions, business development strategies and IT processes and suggesting improvements.
• Planning and executing data center migrations, consolidations, and expansions to accommodate business growth and technological advancements.
• Developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the data center environment.
• Managing vendor relationships and contracts for hardware, software and services.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, security to align infrastructure solutions with business objectives.
• Strong knowledge on IT infrastructure Architecture Servers, Storage, Virtualization, Networking, Backup.
• Review, analyze, and understand the Information Technology requirements for standard and advanced work environment to advise the development plan as a result.
• Support the Procurement process by evaluating technologies, sources, preparing specifications and evaluating proposals.
• Preparing and delivering presentations on the purposed solutions.
• Maintain the shape of the Company/Organization at high standard level in terms of Information Technology and Information Security conditions
• Analyze, review and indicate any threats to the Company/Organization from Information Technology and Information Security aspects and act towards protection and rectification actions
• Ensure, and maintain the compliance of Information Technology and Information Security policies, regulations, and protocols in line with EDGE Group, Missiles and Weapons recognized guidance and policies
• Ensure, and maintain the governance of Information Technology and Information Security in line with United Arab Emirates laws, and regulations in this regard.

Experience & Education Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Studies or in Information Systems or Computer Engineering.
• 6-8 years of experience in Information Technology field
• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
• Knowledge of system troubleshooting and support gained through formal training or work experience
• Incident and problem resolution management skills.
